I was at 4 Rivers yesterday. I ordered the 3x2 combo. It was delicious. Had the Texas sausage, burnt ends, pulled pork, macaroni and cheese and string beans. Delicious. Even used my birthday reward for the dessert. I'll be back soon.

A Memphian’s Review of 4 Rivers Smokehouse.. Let me start with a little disclaimer: I’m from Memphis, Tennessee, where BBQ isn’t just food, it’s part of the culture. We take our BBQ seriously. Memphis is home to the best BBQ in the world, so when it comes to smoked pork, sauce, and flavor, my opinion is going to be extremely honest. First, the positives. The staff at 4 Rivers were friendly and courteous, the restaurant was clean, and the décor was decent. Overall, the atmosphere was welcoming, and I certainly didn’t have a bad first visit. Now, let’s talk about the BBQ. Pulled pork: 3/10. Coming from Memphis, this just didn’t hit the mark for me. The pork lacked the smoky, seasoned flavor I expect from good BBQ, and the sauce was bland without much depth or personality. The coleslaw, however, was fairly decent and probably one of the better parts of the meal. I want to be clear: I didn’t dislike 4 Rivers as a restaurant. The service was good, the place was clean, and my experience itself was perfectly fine. But the BBQ? Smokey Brisket (moist), tender pulled pork, sweet and tender burnt ends. I'm visiting the area and checked the reviews before coming they were mixed. However most of the reviews that were low all had something similar in common, either they didn't know what they want, or came right at closing time, or felt some type of way with staff. My experience was absolutely great. I knew what I wanted, there was a line so I was patient. And in return I was glad I drove 20 minutes from my hotel to get here it was worth it. Pictures and words do not do this place justice. You have to come and find out for yourself and don't let someone's low review talk you out of having the best BBQ I've had while visiting this area.

Spoons? 🥄 if you don’t have them buy them anywhere. Brisket cold sausage cold 🥶 ribs amazing but cold ñ, wings amazing hot and good. Beans amazing cheesy potatoes amazing as well. Our first time would we go back possibly. Hand washing station was a good touch.

The only real downside is the portion size — it could be slightly bigger for the price. Service: Cafeteria-style, up-front counter ordering with self-serve drink machines. There’s no wait staff, but the team behind the counter was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Atmosphere: Large, open-concept space with long communal dining tables. The design is minimal but elevated with some neat fixtures that help it stand out. Very clean, which is always a huge plus. The Verdict: 4 Rivers delivers quality barbecue with good flavor and a clean, well-designed space. While the portions leave a little to be desired, the food and overall experience still make it worth a visit.
